Living Transmission
Our Lifeline in the Times of Change

1 - 3 July Online

Thursday – Saturday 1700-1830 UK,
1800-1930 Central Europe

A living spiritual lineage relies on “transmission”—a wave of wordless atmosphere passing between one person and another, and between one and One. The ability to open to that stream allows us to navigate the difficult times we face in the world today with peace and equanimity. Each of us has to do it for ourselves – “Only you can do it for you!” as the Rev. Joe Miller used to say. We will offer some practice, chant, meditation, music and poetry to help enhance that connection and build resilience.

“Nature demands, life demands, a certain standard of understanding, of thinking, of living, and this can be learned by putting oneself to that tune and setting oneself to that particular rhythm that makes the music of life. It is by this that the happiness is attained, that happiness which is the seeking of every soul.” —Hazrat Inayat Khan

Thursday: Healing through Transmission: special guest: Hakim Sauluddin Barodofsky plus Jelaluddin Hauke Sturm, Baraka Brita von Kügelgen, Natalia Nur Jahan Lapteva and (translator) Petra Salima Rheinwalt.

The European Sufi Summer School is open to all. It is rooted in an open spiritual tradition of the ancient Chishti lineage of Sufism. Our transmission (ruhaniatiyya) is through Murshid Hazrat Inayat Khan, Murshid Sufi Ahmed Murad Chisti (Samuel L. Lewis) and Murshid Moineddin Jablonski. Threads of their individual spiritual practice also include Zen Buddhism, mystical Christianity, Bhakti and Advaita Yoga, and Kaballah. The Summer School is staffed by dedicated students connected in various ways to and through this line of transmission. It is not legally or financially connected with any other Sufi corporation, organization or project.
