We gather for another rich experience of dream work and related teachings with Imam Bilal. All are welcome to join us on any of these Sundays ... it's wonderful how the circle of dream friends is growing and deepening. Gathering for tea afterward is still planned for those who are not fasting ... or even for those who are!

This is a rare opportunity for small group study of the Sufi tradition of dream interpretation with Imam Bilal. The practice of the Prophet Muhammad (s.a.w.s.) was, after the Fajr dawn prayers, to ask his Companions (r.a.) to tell their dreams for interpretation. This intensive Dream Interpretation Workshop will draw on principles from Hadith and from the traditions of the Knowers and Friends of God.

Shams Ensemble will perform for one night only in San Francisco on Sunday, October 5 at 7:30pm at Herbst Theater. On tour from Iran, this is the first musical performance group to publicly feature female vocalists as well as dancers since the revolution of 1979. The focus for the evening is Rumi and songs of peace. There will be whirling dervish dancers in addition to the musical performance of Shams Ensemble.

Faisal Muqaddam will present a public lecture and workshop at CIIS, in San Francisco, Oct 16th 7-9pm and Oct 26th 10am-5pm.

Our true nature is differentiated in many precious states of being we label as “essential states.” We experience those states as love, consciousness, will, joy, strength, etc. We lose most of them in childhood due to conflicts and scarcities in our environment, which leads to the build-up (or lack) of our personality structures and our ego identity.

Through objective understanding of our personality patterns, we can retrieve our essence and integrate it into our lives. In this workshop, we will explore different attributes of consciousness and the issues surrounding them. The workshop will include transmission, meditations, visualization, teachings, and exercises.

These words are from the Buddhist tradition, in Pali, the language Buddha spoke. These are called the Four Heavenly Abodes, a place to dwell. We invite you to come and dwell with us for a weekend of attunement to these divine states of mind through the Dances of Universal Peace, spiritual walks, meditation, silence, zikr, drumming and musicianship classes. All are welcome!

The perfect setting to spiritually regroup is beautiful Isis Oasis. It includes a spacious "theater hall" for dancing, lovely garden areas, pool, hot tub, sauna, and large dining room with fireplace.

Pir Shabda Kahn is a Sufi teacher and leader of the Sufi Ruhaniat International. He is a master of the music of India and the West, and a master of the tuning of the heart.

At these monthly events Shabda and friends lead us in Dance of Universal Peace and in Zikr, the most universal of Sufi practices. With simple chants and movements we experience the jewels of the divine qualities within each of us, each a blessing from the Beloved.

No experience is necessary to participate, and all are welcome.

Faisal Muqaddam will present a public lecture and workshop at CIIS, in San Francisco, Oct 16th 7-9pm and Oct 26th 10am-5pm.

Our true nature is differentiated in many precious states of being we label as “essential states.” We experience those states as love, consciousness, will, joy, strength, etc. We lose most of them in childhood due to conflicts and scarcities in our environment, which leads to the build-up (or lack) of our personality structures and our ego identity.

Through objective understanding of our personality patterns, we can retrieve our essence and integrate it into our lives. In this workshop, we will explore different attributes of consciousness and the issues surrounding them. The workshop will include transmission, meditations, visualization, teachings, and exercises.
